Jen's Boycott List Update:
1. South Park for spoofing the death of Steve "The Crocodile Hunter" Irwin. It is vile and extremely offensive to poke fun of this event. Steve Irwin was a passionate and dedicated lover of wildlife. He was a family man who lived his life by principles and values. Something the writers and producers of South Park seem to lack.
2. Starbucks for refusing to send coffee to our soldiers overseas. Regardless of your stance on the current war situation, the men and women of our armed forces are just doing their very dangerous jobs. Because of them, Starbucks has the liberty to charge people $4.00 or more for a cup of coffee. Hopefully Starbucks will change their minds......
3. Hartz Products for selling inexpensive pet products to the general public containing the toxin pyrethrin. These products are marketed for cats and dogs, yet pyrethrin is toxic to cats (not to dogs). Hartz has been sued several times over this issue and yet continues to produce these products. Granted, not all cats will have allergic reactions, but please use caution if you should decide to use one of their products. I will not buy another Hartz product on principle. Great posts, BTW!
