I woke up to 8 inches of fresh, powdery snow this morning. So I dragged my self out of bed, shoveled off the front porch and landing and tried to sweep off all the snow from my 4Runner. I have not had my 4Runner in the garage because my car is in there. Bill says we can fit both of them in there, but he has to do some rearranging first. I cannot let my beautiful Mustang sit outside. Just cannot do it. So, for now, I will have to put up with trying to shove all the snow off my poor 4Runner! LOL
I cannot wait for hunting season to be over so that we can get on with the business of getting things in order for Christmas! Christmas is only about 6 weeks away and I have nothing done for the holiday season except for the gifts for 3 of my 4 nieces. I still have some shopping to do for Kait - not to mention the shopping for my own two kids and spouse, plus all of my other family members and friends. I think I will rely on my friends Harry and David to help me out!
Thanksgiving, on the other hand, is all taken care of. I have all of the shopping done except for the very last minute things - all of which I can get in one store. I am very proud of myself for being that organized this year! I am usually scrambling at the last minute. As long as we do not have a repeat of two years ago, when I ended up in the hospital with appendicitis and my poor husband had to eat Thanksgiving dinner at a JB's restaurant after spending all day at the hospital with a sick wife, a 19 month old toddler and a 3 month old infant, then all will be well. My hubby will have a few stars in his crown when he gets to Heaven for pulling that one off!

It snowed here too this morning, but didn't stick. It's still supposed to be around 45 degrees this afternoon. Which is good, because Mom's supposed to come up from Hardin so we can go shopping.
Sounds like hubby is definitely going for some brownie points for when he gets to Heaven. Well, it was a memorable Thanksgiving to be sure
Oy, I can't wait for snow!! Of course, the sight of snow shovels and ski pants in Target, Walmart, the grocery store kind of scares me a little. lol
Appendicitis on Thanksgiving? You poor thing. Though you were probably on drugs. So your poor husband. At least you know that unless you grew another appendix THAT won't happen again. :o)

My poor husband. He had a really hard time of it that Thanksgiving. No one died - thankfully! LOL
Do you shop in Hardin? It has been a long time since I have been there.
Jen: My hubby loves, loves, loves the snow. We got very little snow where we used to live. We have snowmobiles!! Hope I can get out and ride a bit this year.
I am just thankful that I actually went to the hospital before it burst. I just thought I had a really bad case of the flu! Bill had to make me go to the hospital. He is much more cautious than me. And I am thankful to him for it! LOL
Jen ~ Absolutely not :-) I don't think there are any stores to shop at in Hardin anymore. I live in Billings so we shop here.
I love the snow too ~ I just hate driving in it.
I hope to get to Billings to do some Christmas shopping sometime in the next month. Have not been there in a really long time!
I have become quite proficient at driving in the snow. Not by choice either! LOL
I did the same thing when I had appendicitis, Jen. It was pre-kids and I stayed home from work thinking I had the flu. By the time Todd got home I was thinking I had an ectopic pregnancy. Appendicitis never even entered my mind. lol He took me to the doctor who sent me to the ER and I had an appendectomy at 10:00 that night. The surgeon said it was ripe and ready to burst. So glad it didn't!
I'm betting my recovery was waaaay easier than yours since I didn't have any children and you had babies. You poor thing!
Jen
I honestly thought that if I could just shower, get dressed that I would be fine. Bill took one look at me and said we were going to the hospital! LOL He reminds me often of how he saved me :)
What was bad about the apendectomy was that Owen was just three months old and I delivered him by c-section and then there I was having to have my appendix out! That was the least amount of fun a girl wants to have on a holiday!
Okay, I hate snow. I hate winter.
I want to hibernate. But work
calls, maybe some day I will have a better attitude about it. I think living on the mountain burned me out on the white powedery stuff, but living in town has helped, love the pretty pictures though, would make a neat postcard!
luv

Hi Lin!
Try this: visualize white *sand* when ever you see snow. Delusional, it know, but it might make you feel better! LOL
nice picture.
I can't believe it's the holidays already.
Hi Jen,
Thank you for commenting on my pictures. It is always fun to share family photos. I notice you have added some of your family too.
I am jealous. Do you know that I moved from the east coast and my husband and I settled in an area that gets NO snow and very little rain? I totally miss the seasons especially the snow. I haven't seen snow in 5 years! Well enjoy while I sit envying your white landscape.
Kori:
I know! I feel light years behind already!
April:
You want me to send you some? We have plenty here! LOL I do not enjoy the snow so much, but my hubby and kids love it. I do like to ride my snowmobile - which hopefully I will be able to do this year.
Yes, but I don't think my mailman would appreciate it. Actually could you just build a snowman for me and take a pic? LOL
April:
You got it! It rained yesterday and melted most of the snow so we will have to wait for another good snow fall.....LOL
You're the best Jen!!
