Has anyone been treated for mylasma - or hyperpigmentation of the skin? I have a couple of spots on my face and have tried bleaching creams. They lightened the spots, but the spots are beginning to darken again. I consulted a dermaesthician - who' s consultation nurse did not know what Tri Luma was (that did not inspire my confidence AT ALL). The advice I was given was to undergo a light treatment therapy alternating with microdermabrasion. This would have to take place over a course of three months - and there is no guarantee that it will work. Not to mention - it is *expensive*. My third and final option, I guess, is to have a chemical peel. This has to be performed by a plastic surgeon. Has anyone had any experience with chemical peels?

The only chemical peel I've ever had was when I put acne spot cream on my whole face. I ended up with what looked like a horrible sunburn. But when it went away my skin was lovely!
I'm sorry I don't have anything constructive to tell you. :o) Good luck with whatever you decide, tho.
I am finding that there are not a lot of people out there who have actually had a chemical peel or will own up to it anyway. Not sure what I will do. I have heard that scarring is an issue with chem peels. Still thinking about it. Thank you for the advice about acne cream though. LOL Sounds like something I would do :)
