Christmas Part 2
We had a great Christmas! All of my family was here at my house - which included my sister and her husband plus their 5 kids, my divorced and hardly speaking parents, both of my siblings from out of state and my youngest sister and her dog, Trevor!
Quite a housefull!
Surprisingly enough, everyone got along just fine and there were no fights until after everyone left. We just cannot seem to get through any event without some kind of drama. Ugh.
I have about a hundred pictures or so to sort through, but the one above is my sister Jill, my daughter Maya, me and my brother Rob.
This year, everyone - kids included - drew names and bought one family member a gift. The request was to spend $25 and everyone did very well at it. I am not so sure the kids were as happy with the result and there were quite a few gift cards given. All was well in the end and everyone *seemed* happy. I guess we will know if they truly were happy when it comes time to decide what to do about Christmas in 2008!
My children received everything under the sun and are still marveling at how Santa got things just right. I was thrilled to see them opening stuff on Christmas morning and to have them tease me that I must have been naughty because my stocking was empty on Christmas morning! I remembered to put something in my hubby's stocking, by the way!
Oops!

Oh there was plenty of drama. But there always is and coming from good Southern blood, we know exactly how to deal with it.
It was a great time and I wanted to thank you again, Jen, for having me up there. You're the Christmas Queen, hands down.
Love you!

How wonderful it all sounds! I looooove Christmas!! My husband forgot my stocking one year as well. It has been years ago but I think he is still atoning because now my 'little stocking gifts' are often worth more than the big ones under the tree! Guilt, don't ya just love it?!
Glad you had a good Christmas. Sounds like your house was bursting at the seams.
