Well, the Christmas rush and fun are all over and I have been in the Holiday Doldrums for the past few days. I always feel really let down after Christmas is over. I hate feeling this way and always do everything I can to make myself feel better. Today, it has been chocolate cake!

I got several cool things for Christmas. My favorite two gifts were both techie gizmos! Yeah! I love a good gizmo!

The first was a gift to myself at the insistence of my Mom. A webcam so that I can chat with my family and see them. The idea had never occured to me before and I have to say is BRILLIANT!

My kids also love this gizmo as well. My son can talk to his Auntie Jill and see her and he thinks that is the coolest thing since sliced bread.

It was surprisingly inexpensive - I paid $40 for mine - and was easy to set up and use. All it takes is a high speed connection and MSN messenger. You can likely use another messanger, but MSN worked really well for us.

The second techie gift I got was a new cell phone. I got the LG Env and I LOVE it!

My Phone

What can I say? This phone is really cool and satisfies all of my techie desires with all the options it has. It truly is a multimedia lovers phone with music, video and imaging capabilities along with that super funky way it flips open to reveal a full keyboard - which totally makes texting way more fun!

More about Christmas in another post. Back to the chocolate cake!

Cool! Todd's mom gave us a webcam years ago when we only had dial up and we couldn't ever use it. I should see if I can find it now, though it's probably totally obsolete.

Love the phone! You are so cool, Jen!!

I got a webcam for Christmas too. My father has done all but beg me to get one. I finally used it last night to talk to one of my sisters on the east coast. Really Nice gadget but not as cool as your phone.

I always feel a bit sad when it is all over too. Had to take down all the decorations the other day and that was traumatic, and not just because of how much work it was! Love your gadgets! Sick, as my teenage son would say. :)
