I am still not feeling well at all. I cannot remember when I have had such a cold that has turned into a sinus infection and has lasted this long. I am having trouble functioning like I normally do and with two kids under 5, I do not need to tell most of you what a problem that is!

I have managed to get all the supplies I need to send Jeremy, who has arrived in Iraq, his first care package from us. I went online and looked around for some information as to what to send. I found a really great website called Homefront Hugs that gave a wealth of information about what to send and how to send it.

One thing I found a bit disturbing and sad at the same time was that there are soldiers who do not get anything from home. So, when we went to the store to buy things for Jeremy's packages, we bought enough stuff for another soldier which we will send along to Homefront Hugs so that it can be distributed to a soldier.

The next time I do care packages, I am going to make a package specifically for a female soldier. I cannot imagine not having all my cremes, lotions, sprays and brushes every morning. That would be awful!

Anyway, if you are so inclined, I encourage all of you to check out Homefront Hugs and send a package to a soldier you know who is serving in the Middle East or to a soldier you don't even know. To say that it would be appreciated by them is a given!

You have to be careful with those packages for women, especially in the desert...they tell you what types of things they need.

There is a foundation here that caters to the same thing in the name of MIA Sgt. Keith "Matthew" Maupin call the the Yellow Ribbon Foundation. They send those care packages from Cincinnati Ohio. They send books, puzzles, hand held games and things for them to do in those moments when they get peace. They send tons of food for Thanksgiving and Christmas as well.

There are a lot of sites like this one. I will make a note of that, and as soon as I am able, I will do whatever I can. I have family in the American Legion who know lots of things to do for those soldiers.

You are wonderful for doing this Sister Dear! Please try to get well soon. You are in my prayers too!

love and hugs xoxoxoxo

That is good advice Karol. I will be sure to check with someone before I make a ladies carepackage.

April: Thank you my friend for the prayers. I am feeling a bit better today!
