Last night, I fully intended to sit down and watch A Knight's Tale with Heath Ledger. In the end, I just could not do it. So, instead, I pulled out my unwatched copy of The Notebook. I bought it a couple of weeks ago at the insistence of a friend who knew that I would really enjoy it. And I did! What a wonderful movie!
So, now I am inspired to read the book - which I understand is different from the movie. No matter. It was such a good movie that as long as the essence of the story is there, I will love it!
Think I will watch it again tonight! After I work a bit more on that closet project that is!

This movie was incredible. The ending was such a surprise and left me all tingly and fuzzy.
I admit to feeling more that just a bit sad over Heath Ledger's death and this movie was just what I needed to lift my spirits! A wonderful love story - and I was not totally sure which was it was going to go either. The end was sad and wonderful! A great movie!
I soooo loved 'The Notebook'!!! Not that that should be any great shock coming from me! Ha!! Seriously, as much as I love a mushy tale, there are some that just REALLY do the job brilliantly, and this was one. Have not read the book either, although I probably should as I understand it is quite excellent. 'A Knight's Tale' is one of our favorites as well. Own it and do put it in upon occassion for good rousing fun. Other Heath favs are '10 Things I Hate About You' 'Casanova' and 'The Patriot.' He actually was hauntingly good in 'Monster's Ball' but that movie overall was not one I cared for. Such a loss of a rising talent.
It's ok if you can't watch A Knight's Tale...I probably won't go see the Batman movie if it comes out within the next 5 months...out of respect and mourning for Heath (he played the Joker), I don't think I can watch without my heart breaking.
I want to see the Notebook, I am glad you recommended it...I will now..
Love ya
