Rain!!!

I has finally rained here. Not just a passing shower, but a soaking rain and the temperature is cold - only in the 50s outside today. Thank You Father!! The smoke has been almost unbearable and there is a fire in our more immediate area now. It is not near the house, but that could change if the conditions were right. For now, I am focused on the fact that we have had this wonderful rain and I will be praying for more!

I forgot to do my Friday Faves and apparently the mommycommunity.com site is down for some reason. So, I have decided to make up my own Friday Fave.

This weeks catagory is movie genre.

My favorite movie genre is epic movies. I like big sweeping stories like Titanic, Braveheart and Gone With the Wind.

Hey, Jen! I'm doing pretty good, though school starts next week. I'm trying not to think about it. I love pretty much any kind of movie providing its entertaining. It depends a lot on my mood. However, the classics like Pride and Prejudice, Anne of Green Gables, The Scarlet Pimpernel etc., are ones I can watch again and again. :-)

Oh happy day for the rain!! It's been rainy and cool here, too. I love it, but the cool weather isn't going to last. I can't wait for fall!

I'm like Shauna - anything that's entertaining and it depends on my mood. I like all the movies you both mentioned. I also like the romantic comedies like Sleepless in Seattle, While You Were Sleeping, etc.

Ooh, Jenster good ones. Also, Return to Me, You've Got Mail and the new P&P with Kiera Knightly. That scene at the end where Darcy says, "You've bewitched me, body and soul." *sigh* I had to rewind and watch that part twice. It's just soooo powerful and moving!

I find myself wishing for winter - which is insane considering all the whining I did during February and March! LOL

While You Were Sleeping is also one of my very favorites! I have not seen that movie in ages :-)

Shauna: I have watched P&P 05 at least 25 times. It is one of my very favorites and I *love* Matthew Macfayden. That voiceof his is to die for!

I need to buy this movie to have on hand. I was skeptical at first, being such a big fan of Colin Firth and the A&E P&P, but I found I enjoyed it. It has more "entertainment" value, with a quicker moving plot and brighter, flashier scenes. I'm still in love with the A&E version, but love the new one for what it is...and for Matthew Macfayden. ;-)
